Andy Canada brings to JGA’s clients significant development experience focused in annual giving, planned giving, major gift development, and campaign development and implementation. During his successful career in development, Andy has had experience with large transformative campaigns, participating on the development teams during a $1.1B campaign at Indiana University and a $1.7B campaign at Purdue University.
Before joining JGA in 2010, Andy served as Development Director for the Indiana University Foundation, where he served as lead Development Director for the School of Health Physical Education and Recreation (HPER). Prior to joining the Indiana University Foundation, Canada distinguished himself within the development team at Purdue University, serving as Director of Development for the Krannert School of Management. Andy also worked in Purdue’s Planned Giving area, leading key initiatives to increase donor gifts through estate planning vehicles. By educating donors on planned giving opportunities, he helped to raise $26.5 million in new documented gifts for the university.
At JGA, Andy has served many types of clients in various stages of their development life cycle. Highlights of his years at JGA include the opportunity to guide the Indiana State Fair Foundation through the creation of a new foundation and the successful launch and implementation of a capital campaign to raise funds for the renovated Coliseum. Andy has also worked with a number of healthcare clients, helping them develop grateful patient programs, engage physicians in philanthropy, and design and implement campaigns.
Andy serves on the development committee for the Johnson County Community Foundation and recently served as the president of the corporation board of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity.
Andy is a graduate of Purdue University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision.
