Brian Gawor, CFRE

With a background in data analytics and a passion for philanthropy, Brian Gawor, CFRE, has built a reputation for helping organizations harness the power of data to strengthen their fundraising efforts. He brings more than 25 years of higher education experience in donor engagement and development.
Brian currently serves as Vice President, Fundraising at 3 Enrollment Marketing. Prior to this role, he was a consultant and Director of Business Development at JGA, where he supported nonprofits in growing their philanthropy through both innovative data analytics tools and traditional strategic consulting services.
Before joining JGA in 2024, Brian served as Vice President for Research at Ruffalo Noel Levitz for ten years. He is widely recognized as an expert in fundraising and engagement, with a deep understanding of the trends and challenges impacting nonprofits. Brian frequently presents at industry conferences, is regularly cited in publications on philanthropy trends, and is the creator of the Fundraising Voices podcast.
Prior to his role at RNL, Brian served as Director of Development for the Illinois State University College of Fine Arts. He began his career in student affairs, admissions, and fundraising at Knox College.
In addition to his professional experience, Brian volunteers his time to advance the field of philanthropy through the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). He has served as a faculty member for CASE Senior Annual Giving and the CASE Symposium on Students in Philanthropy/Diversity in Student Philanthropy, and as a member of the CASE Insights Advisory Board.
Brian is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) through CFRE International and is pursuing a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Illinois State University. He holds a Master of Science in College Student Personnel from Western Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Knox College.
