Welcoming Monica Delisa to JGA

At JGA, we are continually inspired by leaders who see philanthropy not simply as a function, but as a force—one that shapes institutions, strengthens communities, and creates lasting impact. It is in that spirit that we are delighted to welcome Monica Delisa, Ed.D., as our newest Senior Consultant.

Monica’s career has been defined by guiding complex organizations through moments of growth, transformation, and possibility. With decades of leadership in advancement and foundation management, she brings a perspective grounded not only in results but in relationships that advance institutions in meaningful and sustainable ways.

Her leadership has spanned some of the nation’s leading public universities, where she has helped institutions navigate the evolving landscape of philanthropy with clarity and purpose. Most recently, as President and CEO of the University of Vermont Foundation, Monica led a large, high-performing team while working closely with institutional and volunteer leadership to strengthen alignment and elevate impact. Under her guidance, the foundation achieved remarkable fundraising success and, just as importantly, deepened its connection to the university it serves.

At institutions—from South Carolina to Georgia, from Arizona to Texas—Monica has consistently brought a thoughtful, strategic lens to advancement work. She has reimagined fundraising structures, strengthened endowments, and built momentum around ambitious campaigns. Yet what distinguishes her leadership is not only what she has accomplished but how she has done so: by listening closely, engaging authentically, and creating shared ownership among donors, boards, and institutional partners.

That approach resonates deeply with the way we serve our clients at JGA.

We know that the advancement success is not built through transactions but through trust. It is shaped by leaders who ask the right questions, who prepare with intention, and who understand that generosity grows where people feel connected to purpose. Campaigns succeed when they align vision, strengthen leadership, and build cultures of philanthropy that endure beyond any single initiative. Monica understands this deeply and has applied this mindset to engagements throughout her career.

Monica’s work also reflects a deep curiosity about what drives giving. Her doctoral research explored the connection between student engagement and major gift philanthropy, underscoring her belief that meaningful experiences are at the heart of enduring support. That insight continues to inform how she approaches strategy, helping organizations think differently about how they cultivate relationships and inspire support.

At JGA, we are committed to helping mission-driven organizations lead with clarity and adapt with confidence. Monica’s experience will be an invaluable asset to our clients.

We are honored to welcome Monica to the JGA team and look forward to the impact we will create together—empowering generosity through thoughtful leadership, customized perspectives, and innovative approaches that help our clients deepen their impact.
