Apr 2009 | JGA Celebrates 15th Anniversary

On April 1, 2009, Johnson Grossnickle and Associates celebrated 15 years of empowering not-for-profit organizations to make the world a better place through philanthropy.

As we celebrate our past, we look back on our 15 years of partnerships with focused, dedicated organizations that lead the nonprofit sector in excellence. JGA’s Chairman and CEO Ted Grossnickle had the opportunity to sit down with Chris Katterjohn, publisher of the Indianapolis Business Journal (IBJ), to discuss JGA and the state of fundraising.  The interview was done for the IBJ’s weekly radio program.

The two discussed JGA, Ted’s role within the firm, and the ways the current economic climate is affecting nonprofits’ planning and execution of various fundraising activities.

Ted’s interview originally aired Sunday, March 1, on WXNT Newstalk 1430 in Indianapolis and is now posted as an audio file to the IBJ Web site, www.ibj.com

 

White Featured Speaker at SUA Women in Philanthropy Initiative’s Values, Vision, and Voice

On March 19, 2009, Angela White will be the featured speaker at the St. Ursula Academy Alumnae Women in Philanthropy Initiative’s Values, Vision, and Voice. Angela was asked to speak about the power of women and their role in philanthropy.

Kindelsperger and Schipp Present Session at 27th Annual DIAP Conference

The Association of Theological Schools, Development and Institutional Advancement Program, hosted its 27th annual conference, February 5-7, 2009. On February 6, 2009, Kris Kindelsperger and Dan Schipp, served as conference presenters in their session titled, “Is It Time For a Development Audit?”

White Teaches “The Dynamics of Women’s Giving”

On February 5-6, 2009, Angela White taught, “The Dynamic of Women’s Giving,” at The Fundraising School, Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Angela is an adjunct faculty member at The Fundraising School.

White Speaks About Fundraising in a Tough Economy at President’s Roundtable

Angela White spoke at the President’s Roundtable on February 3, 2009, to discuss fundraising during the current, tough economic times. The President’s Roundtable is a think take of women leaders within the Indianapolis community, founded by Julie Davis in 1999.

Sep 2004 | Ernie Vargo Named District Faculty Star in CASE CURRENTS

Ernie Vargo was recognized in a recent issue of CASE CURRENTS as a District Faculty Star. CASE recognizes excellent speakers from their district conferences each year, based on participant evaluations. Those scoring highest are named District Faculty Stars in the September issue. Participants rate speakers on such factors as knowledge of subject matter, suitability of content, presentation skills, and quality of handouts.
