We recently learned here at JGA that our colleague Angela White was selected as a Women of Influence honoree by the Indianapolis Business Journal.
She will be recognized this week at a breakfast honoring these remarkable women of our community. You will be able to view the full 2012 list of honorees in a special supplement to the IBJ set for release November 5th.
In reflecting on Angela’s unique qualities and accomplishments, I suspect that the impact she has had in our philanthropic community is likely the key factor that resulted in her being chosen as a Woman of Influence.
Her counsel has provided the steady guidance for major philanthropic efforts that have empowered organizations to successful outcomes and helped reshape our community in positive ways.
In that same spirit, I believe that philanthropy allows all involved to expand their influence. Philanthropy equips nonprofit leaders, staffers, and volunteers to think big and achieve their goals.
It allows those who give to see the impact of their generosity on initiatives that would not become real without it.
And, philanthropy clearly changes the lives of recipients of services/facilities forever, empowering them to shine in their own realm of influence.
At JGA we are fortunate to work with nonprofit professionals and devoted volunteers who understand the power of philanthropy and harness it to change the world for the better.
Over the years, I have watched countless organizations and donors build lasting relationships that have spawned transformative gifts for causes across the country.
We are so proud the IBJ has recognized Angela’s positive influence on the state, and we are continually grateful that all of us at JGA get to play a part in the dynamic philanthropic landscape of this region and this country.
