Jeff Small, Writer and Project Manager
Jeff Small offers a dynamic skill set which complements the mission of JGA as Writer and Project Manager. He provides broad experience in organizational and managerial work along with proven writing ability through his extensive work with non-profit and philanthropic organizations.
Jeff infuses our client work with a firm grounding in both regional and national nonprofit trends. Prior to joining JGA, Jeff was a Research Analyst and Writer for the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. There he worked on projects with United Way Worldwide and the Giving USA Foundation and summarized new research on nonprofit management and fundraising best practices for a variety of Center publications.
In addition to his work with the Center on Philanthropy, Jeff was appointed by Mayor Bart Peterson as a Mayor’s Neighborhood Liaison, where he collaborated with elected officials on the local and state level to solve issues faced by communities in the Indianapolis area. Jeff also has direct fundraising and nonprofit management experience having previously served as Director of Program Development with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Indianapolis. In addition, he holds a master’s degree in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University.
Jeff’s experience and writing abilities help him to derive highly relevant information in his research to help our clients in making critical decisions and pointing them in the right direction.
