JGA intern finshes work

Betsy Hummel, a senior at Franklin College, completed an internship position with Johnson, Grossnickle and Associates, Inc., in May. Betsy assisted with JGA’s marketing and communication efforts this sprint and graduated with a degree in Journalism.

Ernie Vargo and Angela White presented at GIFT annual spring conference

“Strategically Developing Resources” was the topic for the upcoming Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow (GIFT) conference on April 25 and 26, 2005, offered in conjunction with the Indiana Grantmakers Alliance. Ernie and Angela presented “That Is Why We Hired You; What the Board Can and Cannot Expect from Their Development Director or Consultant,” on April 25.

Ernie Vargo presented at Arts Alliance Indiana, Inc., conference

On April 1, 2005, Arts Alliance Indiana, Inc., celebrated its 5th Annual Arts Conference titled “Making Meaning II: Creative Journeys in Ourselves, Our Work & Our Communities.” Ernie Vargo presented “Whose Job Is It Anyway; Board vs. Staff Roles and Responsibilities” at the conference. Ernie Vargo and Angela White presented at Indiana Youth Services conference

On March 6 and 7, 2005, Indiana Youth Services held a Board Development Conference for the Boards of Directors and Executive Directors for all Youth Service Bureaus in Indiana. Ernie Vargo and Angela White presented two consecutive workshops beginning at 9:00 a.m. on March 7 on the topic of the roles and responsibilities of board vs. management.

Angela White presented at Indiana Association of United Ways conference

Angela White presented “You Can’t Handle the Truth! Ten Ways to Improve Your Accountability,” on Friday, March 11, 2005, from 10:45-noon, at IAUW’s annual conference.
